Defending champions Bayern Munich, have been drawn against Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
It will mark a return for Pep Guardiola to Spain, as his immediate past job was head coach of Madrid’s fierce rivals, Barcelona and the tie is a repeat of the last-four clash from the 2011/2012 season.
Thibaut Courtois will face his employers in the second semi-final, as Atletico Madrid have been pitted against Chelsea. Diego Simeone’s team is unbeaten in this season’s competition, while Jose Mourinho masterminded a fine turn around against Parisa Saint-Germain in the last round.
The first legs will be playedon April 22 and 23, while the second legs will be played the following week – April 29 and 30. The final will take place in Lisbon on May 24.
