This concert was originally planeed to celebrate 15yrs of uninterrupted civil rule, 7yrs of good governance and the uncommon transformation of Akwa Ibom State. But due to the current security situation of the country, the concert organizers decided to include a CELEBRITY WORK FOR PEACE bill for the same day (4pm), while the main DEMOCRACY DAY PEACE CONCERT commences from 6pm prompt.
C.E.O of Space Media Group, Mr. Asteriod Bassey, while in a media chat disclosed that despite the security challenges facing the country, Akwa Ibom State has been enjoying unprecented peace under Governor Akpabio's administration as such, indigenes of Akwa Ibom state, neighbors, and friends should turn up en mass to concert venue and have fun.
