Manchester City’s French midfielder Samir Nasri (L) celebrates with
Manchester City’s Argentian defender Pablo Zabaleta after Nasri scored
his team’s first goal during the English Premier League football match
between Manchester City and West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium in
Manchester.
Two strikes from Samir Nasri and Vicent Kompany were enough for Manchester City FC to secure their second English Premiership title in the space of two years! The home side defeated West Ham United two goals to nil in their last game of the season which was played simultaneously with nine other games across England.
The Citizens of Manchester had received pressure from Liverpool FC but after the latter played a three-all draw with Crystal Palace in their 36th match, things looked easier for Manuel Pellegrini’s side. In 2012, Man City won for the first time the English Premiership title, edging out rivals Manchester United with just a point.
