Birdman’s Cash Money Records has been hit with a few lawsuit recently and there has been another one added to the list. Now a production team is going after the record label for not getting paid for producing seven tracks on Jay Sean’s debut album “All or Nothing.” Orange Factory Music is now suing Cash Money Records for $1 million.
“Orange Factory Music partnered up with Cash Money Records to handle production for former signee Jay Sean’s debut album All Or Nothing. The team of producers crafted seven songs for the project, including the smash hit “Down,” and claim that Cash Money Records never paid them in full, TMZ reports. After the release of the 2009 album, they said it took two years for them to see a check, which was for $211,000. Since then, the producers have received royalty statements but no more money from the label.
Cash Money Records, not Jay Sean, is being sued for $1 million.” (AllHipHop)
