Young WOmen Join Hands Against Electoral Violence In Niger Delta

Face of Niger Delta 2014 - ​Miss Victoria Ubani​ l​aunches campaign for violence free elections​ in Niger Delta​, the campaign wa​s flagged off in Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom state, penultimate weekend​.

​The campaign was flagged off as part of activities of the 2nd edition of Uyo Fashion Week. With the campaign, Victoria Ubani

is calling on Nigerians in the Niger Delta to vote and not fight. So far, t​he project has enjoyed support from the NDDC and after unveiling in Uyo, the train will move to other state capitals.

The states that make up the Niger Delta are Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Ondo, Imo & Rivers.

With these, Miss Victoria is mobilizing young women in the creative and beauty industry across the 9 states that make up Nigeria's oil producing region, to join her in the sensitization of the public on the need to shun electoral violence, especially violence against women.
