Ciza Tha Journalist , rapper/songwriter/producer, was born in Eket, a town in Akwa Ibom state, South south region of Nigeria. At ten years he composed his first song while being locked in Papa’s bathroom. He obeyed family and society and studied Industrial Physics, flew planes and helicopters until the 5th March 2006. After surviving a Helicopter crash miraculously, he finally returned to Papa’s bathroom, never to leave. 5th March 2007 he quit his day job, 20th Oct 2007 release of his first album.
IST Album:
;NATURAL A.I.H” (2007). A blend of Hip-hop and traditional African sounds and rhythms while addressing various social issues with songs like,’Pneumonia’,which talks about the denial of A.I.D.S. in Africa. “Circumcision”which is a debate with a local chief on “female circumcision”. 14% percent of sales of his first album was donated to support of various A.I.D.S Havens.
2nd Album:
AFRICAN INCLIZIQUE”(2008). A demonstration of versatility, marrying Hip-Hop, Reggae and African house music together in one album. The song “Stand Up” was dedicated to the late Lucky Dube who was slain at gun point. This was also the sound track for “Breaking the silence” a documentary on violence and Xenophobia. “Push and Hustle” was a song about child slaves and orphans, which was the sound track for a mentoring exercise for AIDS children and street kids where they met with Ciza Tha Journalist, players, coaches of the national soccer teams of Nigeria and South Africa.
