Since he burst into our consciousness with the release of his critically acclaimed single “lyrical”, followed up by 2014’s most commercial hit “Shoki”, Lil kesh has been one artiste who has achieved so much in so little time.
While most naysayers were saying shoki was the bar at what he could do, he has decided to get the streets jumping with what I believe would eventually become the street single of the year. Gbese is a playful yet heavy afro-pop tune which I would call “a little bit of Kesh and a little bit of Olamide”, a mash up of both styles performed by one individual. The beat by Young John made sure it would be endorsed by the clubs all over Africa and the world beyond.
It’s unique ,it’s fresh, it’s Kesh………………8/10
