HER very famous parents Beyonce and Jay Z are rumoured to be heading for Splitsville, but that’s not the most pressing issue facing Blue Ivy.
More than 5000 people have signed a bizarre petition asking music superstars Beyoncé Knowles and her rapper mogul husband Jay Z to brush their daughter’s hair.
That’s right. In today’s instalment of People With Too Much Time On Their Hands, a petition has been created demanding Blue Ivy’s famous parents brush her frizzy locks.
The petition, simply titled Comb Her Hair and started by a Change.org user from Brooklyn in New York, had received 5500 signatures by this afternoon.

It was edging closer and closer to its set target of 7500 supporters.
“As a woman who understands the importance of hair care ... it’s disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture,” the petition begins.
“This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let’s get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy (sic) hair.”
It comes as speculation grows that the marriage of Beyonce and Jay Z faces increasing difficulties.
Unsurprisingly, the effort has attracted mixed responses with users either loving or hating the founder’s viewpoint.
“I hate when a mother looks like a million dollars with their hair all done and the child looks like they haven’t seen a comb since they were born,” user Cassie Lee said.

“This is the dumbest thing I have seen in my life,” Kameelah Stewart retorts. “You biddies don’t have anything to (do) but to pick on a child and her parent for her hair. You have no right to assume that you are the authority on anyone’s hair.”
And so on. It’s not immediately clear if the petition starter was joking, but most of the responses — whichever way they go — seem to be very serious.
The consensus among those who’ve supported the movement so far seems to be that if Beyonce likes it — her daughter’s hair — then she shoulda’ run a comb through it.
