Ebola: Newcastle United To Examine Players Returning From AFCON Qualifiers



Due to the Ebola outbreak ravaging a number of countries in West Africa, English premiership club, Newcastle United will examine two of their players, Papiss Cisse and Check Tiote on their return from international duty. Cisse and Tiote travelled to Africa to represent their countries in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with both having been in action for their countries, Senegal and Ivory Coast respectively. According to reports, Newcastle United head coach, Alan Pardew says precautionary measures have to be applied, with medicals tests to be carried out on the players when they return from Africa. ‘We’d be naive not to have concerns, ‘We have a strategy for when they return and making sure they and their families are taken care of. They’re essential to us and our doctor has looked into the problems that might arise and also protection for them and to make sure we do our very best to help them,’ Pardew said....
