Nigerian Premier League club Ikorodu United have unveiled their new foreign technical adviser Theo Jong. The 68-year-old is a former Netherlands national team player who appeared the 1974 FIFA World Cup Final.
The Nigerian club took the decision following a run of poor performances as the Oga Boys remained rooted to the bottom of the NPFL log after 18 games. The recent appointment has been made following their poor form this season in the NPFL. The Onikan Stadium based side were dismantled 4-1 away at Enugu Rangers on matchday 17. FC Ikorodu United have only managed two wins from 17 games in the NPFL this season. They have lost 11 games and drawn 14.
