Teams participating in Euro 2016 have submitted their final 23-man list for the competition, and eye-brows were raised as some players with obvious talents will not be featuring for their respective countries. The following are the five notable players dropped from their national teams’ squad

However the 25-year-old did not make Roy Hogdson’s final cut to Euro 2016 making way for Arsenal’s Jack Wishere who did not feature in most part of the 2015/16 season owing to injury who is preferred to the Foxes midfielder.

2. Isco: Although the Real Madrid man did not have much playing time for the Los Blancos in the just concluded season, he has been in the Spanish squad all through the qualifiers.
Isco has been placed on the transfer list at MAdrid The contending factor is the fact that Isco’s Real Madrid teenage teammate, Lucas Vasquez, was picked ahead of the experienced 24-year-old in the 23-man list released to UEFA.

3. Marco Reus – For the second consecutive tournament, injury problems has stopped the Borussia Dortmund striker to be selected for a major competition. Reus was replaced by Bastan Schweinsteiger who also returned from injury in Joacquim Leow’s team to Euro 2016.

The 27-year-old did not feature in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil because of the same problem and will be dearly missed in the experienced German attack that consists Mario Gomez, Thomas Muller and Lucas Podolski.

4. Diego Costa: Aside from getting into fracas on and off the field, Diego Costa has always been a serious headache for defenders for both club and country. The Chelsea man was left out of the Spanish squad who had a pack of midfielders and just three strikers which includes; Fernando Torres, Artiz Aduriz and Alvaro Morata.

5. Benzema: There is no doubt that the French national team is loaded with talents especially the discovery of Anthony Martial and Antoine Griezmann, the attack would have been a formidable force with the massive experience of Karim Benzema.
