The Port Harcourt Electricity Distributing Company, PHED have being closed down on Monday by the Trade Union Council, others over some reasons yet to be known.
If you can recalled, on Thursday, some football fans got electrocuted at Nyahasang area closed to Atimbo in Calabar where they were watching the UEFA Europa League quarter final match of Manchester United vs Anderlecht. An incident which still sees many being hospitalised at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH.
The deaf ears giving by PHED including complaints from consumers and ill treatment of staffs must have sparks the plug.

Calabar Reporters tried to get the full details, but the security man at the gate said, he only resumed work in the evening to see the place being sealed by TUC. He added that he has no idea concerning the matter.
