THE Grammy Awards have wrapped in Los Angeles but plenty were left feeling that music’s biggest night was more ‘Grannies’ than ever this year.
Perhaps they missed red carpet pearlers from the likes of Charli XCX, Nick Jonas and Ciara. Here are some of the weirdest frocks from the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.
There was certainly no granny in sight when Jane Fonda arrived. The 77-year-old stunned in an emerald Balmain jumpsuit, proving to onlookers just how effective those workouts are.
US star Joy Villa turned every head in the house with this traffic cone inspired outfit. The daring singer and model covered little more than her nipples with nude tape, leaving everyone wondering if she’d made the dress herself out of recycled construction site mesh.
Bleona Qereti loves to cause a stir on the red carpet. This time Albanian singer rocked up wearing a shiny metal breastplate and a pair of lacy knickers. But the cyborg number was nothing compared to the sheer fishnet frock she wore to theAmerican Music Awards in November.
Let’s talk about Pharrell Williams’s wife Helen Lasichanh. We’re not quite sure what she was going for with this tracksuit-style onesie — race car driver? Perhaps it was from Pharrell’s own Adidas collection. And she usually gets it oh so right.
Ciara made a dramatic entrance in this ruffled one-shoulder Alexandre Vauthier gown. She pulled it off but surely that train made it tricky to saunter down the ruby rug.
Charli XCX donned this Moschino all-white tuxedo and paired it with a pale pink faux fur shrug and a pair of bright pink Barbie shoes.
But what she wore to the afterparty was even bolder. With bonus puppy.
Nick Jonas is making our eyes hurt with this checked suit. And we don’t care if it’s Versace.
