NPL: Enugu Rangers 1-0 Heartland: Odah’s Goal Gives Flying Antelopes Respite

Enugu Rangers
The two Eastern teams did not have much to separate either side but the Flying Antelopes got the solo clincher they needed to get maximum points
Enugu Rangers secured their third league win of the season after a hard fought 1-0 victory over Heartland at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on Sunday.
It was another Oriental Derby and both sides have been having inconsistent this season with Heartland already losing two home games and Rangers with five games from eight matches.
It was a balanced game from the kick off and both sides relied on holding on to possession and capitalising on the counter attack which couldn't produce any result.
The first half ended goalless with Rangers having the upper hand but the score line changed in the second half when former U23 international Onoriode Odah got the only goal of the match in the 62nd minute. It was his third goal of the season.
The goal lifted Rangers to nine points from eight matches while the loss meant Heartland's head coach, Erasmus Onuh must make hay in the remaining four matches of the five game ultimatum given to him by the management of the Naze Millionaires.
Heartland have 12 points from eight matches and are now out of the top five owing to the defeat in Enugu.
