Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has dashed the hopes of Henry Onyekuru, who was hoping to complete a move from KAS Eupen to the Premier League side.
Onyekuru has admitted his dream to play for Arsenal and he was believed to be close to signing for the Gunners, after they reportedly agreed to activate his release clause.
The 20-year-old was even due for a medical after the international break according to one of his representatives, but it has now emerged that Wenger vetoed the proposed transfer.
Voetbal24.be reports Onyekuru was rejected as a summer signing by Wenger, with the Frenchman eager to assess him further for a possible move in January 2018.
The Super Eagles forward, who scored 24 goals last season, will now sign for West Ham, who are expected to pay above his release clause .
